Frequently Asked Questions
Everything wholesale partners ask us about legality, shipping, health, payment and guarantees. Can't find your answer? Get in touch.
1Are all exports fully legal and CITES compliant?
Yes. Every shipment is exported in accordance with Thai wildlife regulations and international laws, including CITES where applicable. We obtain and manage all required export permits, veterinary documentation, health certificates, and CITES paperwork before any animal leaves Thailand.
2Can you export to my country?
In most cases, yes. We export worldwide, provided the species is legal to import into your country and you possess any required import permits or licences. We only participate in fully legal, documented shipments and do not engage in grey-market trade.
3Are your animals captive bred or wild collected?
We source animals through a combination of licensed field collectors, trusted partner breeding programs, and our expanding in-house breeding operation.
Captive-bred animals are prioritised wherever possible, and we are actively working towards our company goal of achieving 100% captive-bred sales by 2028 through investment in our own breeding programs and by supporting breeding initiatives throughout our collection network.
4What health checks and quarantine procedures do animals undergo?
Every animal undergoes a comprehensive quarantine and health management process before export.
This includes veterinary assessments, parasite screening and treatment where required, proper feeding, hydration, stabilisation, and ongoing monitoring to ensure animals are healthy, well-established, and fit for international transport.
5How are animals packed and shipped?
All exports are shipped via professional air cargo using packaging systems designed specifically for live animal transport.
Our packing methods meet or exceed applicable IATA Live Animal Regulations and are continuously refined through years of practical export experience to maximise animal welfare and shipment success.
6Why do you only ship by air cargo?
Animal welfare, compliance, and reliability.
We do not use postal services, EMS, or standard courier networks for live animal exports. Professional air cargo remains the safest, most reliable, and most legally compliant method of transporting live animals internationally.
7What species do you export?
We export a wide range of reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, and other legally tradable exotic species. Approved wholesale partners receive access to current availability lists, seasonal offerings, captive-bred projects, and upcoming production schedules.
8What are your minimum order quantities?
We operate as a wholesale-only exporter. Minimum order quantities vary depending on species, destination, and shipping requirements.
Approved partners receive full pricing schedules, availability lists, and MOQ information after registration.
9What payment terms do you offer?
We require a 50% deposit to begin processing your order. A further 25% payment is due once export permits have been secured and flights have been booked. The remaining 25% balance is payable within 24 hours of delivery, after you have counted your animals and confirmed their welfare and condition.
This structure significantly reduces buyer risk while demonstrating our confidence in the quality and successful delivery of our animals.
We accept:
- Direct bank transfer to our company account
- Wise payments to our company account
- USDT (TRC20) and other cryptocurrencies by arrangement
- Credit card payments via Wise or Western Union
A dedicated payment gateway is currently being developed within our Partner Portal.
10What happens if customs or authorities inspect my shipment?
Inspection of wildlife shipments is a normal part of international trade. We ensure all required export documentation is completed accurately before shipment and provide support throughout the export process.
We are happy to work directly with your broker, importer, or relevant authorities to help facilitate smooth clearance whenever required.
11Can you provide references from existing wholesale customers?
We can provide hundreds of Air Waybills (AWBs) from shipments completed over the past year, demonstrating our export activity and international reach.
We respect the privacy of our clients and therefore do not disclose customer identities without their explicit consent.
However, we are happy to provide documentation including:
- Air Waybills showing A&A Exports Co., Ltd. as exporter
- Company licensing documentation
- Sample CITES export permits showing our company details and destination countries
This allows prospective partners to verify our experience, compliance, and export history while protecting client confidentiality.
12How long does the export process take?
For legally documented shipments, the typical timeframe from deposit to delivery is between 2 and 4 weeks.
Processing times may be longer when:
- Additional permits are required
- Destination countries have unique import requirements
- Orders contain pre-order captive-bred stock not yet ready for export
- Government processing times are extended
Our team provides regular updates throughout the process.
13What makes Lots of Legs Thailand different from other exporters?
We focus on legal compliance, animal welfare, long-term partnerships, and consistent quality.
Unlike many exporters, we combine licensed field collection, partner breeding programs, and significant investment in captive breeding while maintaining strict health, quarantine, and documentation standards.
Our business is built around repeat customers, not one-off transactions.
14What is your DOA rate and Live Arrival Guarantee?
Our global Dead on Arrival (DOA) rate is well below 1%, including shipments to destinations with challenging climates such as Europe during winter.
Our Live Arrival Guarantee is simple: if an animal does not arrive alive and in good condition, we will stand behind our commitment.
Provided the required evidence is submitted within 24 hours of delivery and in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, the value of the affected animal will be deducted from the final balance payable.
15Why should I trust Lots of Legs Thailand as my supplier?
With more than 17 years of export experience, our founding director, Auraiwan Wickham, is recognised as one of the most experienced operators in the Southeast Asian exotic animal export industry.
Throughout our company's history, we have maintained an exceptional compliance record, including:
