Habitat
Semi-aquatic. Rice paddies, pond margins, streams, irrigation canals and marshy lowland areas. 0 – 600 m. Widespread throughout Thailand.
Wild Diet
Fish, frogs, tadpoles & small aquatic invertebrates. Active diurnal aquatic forager.

Moderate (diurnal). UVI 1.0 – 2.0. UVB recommended.
Feeding
Whole defrosted fish or pre-killed frogs. Every 5 – 7 days. Rarely accepts mice.

Semi-aquatic terrestrial. Min 90 × 45 × 45 cm with permanent shallow water area.
Temperament
Active and curious. May musk when first handled. Settles quickly. Good intermediate species.
