In the Wild
Habitat
Endemic to evergreen hill forest around Phato, Chumphon, in southern Thailand (~220 m). Shelters in rock crevices and under stones.
Wild Diet
Small insects and other arthropods. Nocturnal crevice ambush predator.
Captive Care
Temperature
24 – 28 °C ambient — 22 °C cool end
Humidity
70 – 80 %. Lightly moist substrate with a drier surface; good ventilation.
UV Requirements
None required (nocturnal).
Feeding
Micro-crickets and small roach nymphs. Every 5 – 7 days.
Enclosure
Terrestrial with flat rocks/slate stacked into tight crevices over a shallow moist substrate. 15 × 15 cm footprint.
Temperament
Secretive and non-aggressive; fast when disturbed and prefers to hide. Not a handling species.
