Old-World venom — no urticating hairs. A bite is medically significant: severe local pain, swelling and muscle cramps reported across Ornithoctoninae. Treat with respect.
In the Wild
Habitat
An undescribed Ornithoctoninae earth-tiger from the Uthai Thani region of central-western Thailand. Fossorial, living in deep silk-lined burrows in forest soil. 0 – 600 m.
Wild Diet
Insects and other arthropods seized at the burrow entrance; larger spiders take small vertebrates. Nocturnal ambush predator.

Temperature
26 – 30 °C ambient — 24 °C cool end
Humidity
75 – 85 %. Keep the deep substrate moist with a drier surface; water dish and cross-ventilation.
UV Requirements
None required (nocturnal).
Feeding
Crickets, roaches and locusts. Slings every 4 – 5 days; adults every 7 – 10 days.
Enclosure
Fossorial — 15 – 20 cm of packed moist substrate for deep burrowing, with a cork-bark starter burrow. Min 25 × 25 cm footprint.
Temperament
Defensive, very fast and reclusive; will threat-pose and bite if cornered. Hands-off, advanced keepers only.
