In the Wild
Habitat
Lowland and hill forest straddling the Thai–Malaysian border; recorded in southern Thailand (Songkhla, Narathiwat) and Perlis, Malaysia. Lives in a silk-lined trapdoor burrow on forest banks. 0 – 600 m.
Wild Diet
Ground insects ambushed at the burrow mouth via radiating silk trip-lines. Nocturnal sit-and-wait predator.

25 – 29 °C ambient — 23 °C cool end
Humidity
78 – 88 %. Keep substrate damp; humid southern-forest species with moderate airflow.
UV Requirements
None required (nocturnal, fossorial).
Feeding
Crickets and roach nymphs near the door. Every 7 – 10 days.
Enclosure
Fossorial: 12 – 18 cm of firm packed moist substrate for a lined burrow with trip-lines. Min 20 × 20 cm, undisturbed.
Temperament
Shy and reclusive; seals itself in the burrow. Not a handling species.
