Venom
Old-World earth tiger with potent, medically significant venom and no urticating hairs. Bites are defensive, with strong pain, swelling and cramping.

Habitat
Vietnamese fossorial species (regional form close to Cyriopagopus minax) from warm, humid lowland and hill forest. Digs deep silk-lined burrows in compact soil.

Insects and other arthropods taken in a fast nocturnal ambush at the burrow mouth.
