Venom
Non-venomous detritivore. The "glow" is harmless UV fluorescence (electric-blue under 365 nm black light), not bioluminescence and not a toxin. Mild defensive quinone secretion can lightly stain skin; wash hands after handling.

Habitat
Warm, humid lowland and coastal forest of Thailand. Often found near the coast living on tree trunks and in branch forks packed with humus and leaf litter, as well as on the forest floor among decaying wood. 0 – 600 m.

Decaying wood, leaf litter, fungal growth and humus. A nocturnal detritivore.

22 – 28 °C ambient — 21 °C cool end

65 – 75 %. Keep substrate lightly moist with good ventilation; mist to maintain humidity without waterlogging.
UV Requirements
None required (nocturnal). A 365 nm black light is optional for viewing the fluorescence only.

Feeding
Rotten hardwood and leaf litter as staples, with occasional vegetables, fruit and a calcium source. Top up as consumed.

Terrestrial with climbing structure. 6 – 10 cm of moist substrate (coir, rotten wood, leaf litter) plus cork bark/branches in a 25 × 25 cm footprint. Communal-friendly.

Temperament
Docile, slow and secretive; coils when handled. Mild quinone secretion — wash hands afterwards.
