Venom
Non-venomous. Like other flat-backed dragon millipedes it oozes hydrogen cyanide and benzaldehyde (almond-scented) from ozopores in defence — can stain and irritate skin/eyes. Bright orange is aposematic.

Habitat
Humid forest and forest-edge floor across Thailand (an orange-bodied form of A. uncinata, which swarms seasonally in the north). Lives in leaf litter and rotting wood. 0 – 1,000 m.

Detritivore — decaying leaf litter, rotting wood and fungi. Nocturnal recycler of the forest floor.

Feeding
Decaying hardwood leaf litter and rotten wood; supplement with cuttlebone calcium, fruit/veg and a little fish-flake protein.

Terrestrial; 8 – 12 cm of moist leaf-and-wood substrate with bark hides. Communal and prolific. Min 25 × 25 cm.

Temperament
Docile, slow-moving; coils and secretes when alarmed. Handle minimally.
