Venom
Non-venomous and harmless — amblypygids possess no venom glands and no sting. The grasping pedipalps may nip if mishandled but pose no medical risk.

Habitat
Locality whip spider from Binh Thuan Province, southern Vietnam — dry-to-moist coastal and hill forest. Hides by day under bark, rock overhangs and in crevices, emerging onto vertical surfaces at night.

Wild Diet
Crickets, roaches, moths and other small arthropods captured with the spiny raptorial pedipalps after detection by the long feeler-legs. Nocturnal ambush predator.

Tall arboreal set-up with flat cork-bark/rock for clinging and vertical molting space (height ≥ 2 × leg span). 3 – 5 cm moist substrate; min 25 × 25 × 35 cm. Communal-tolerant.

Temperament
Shy, fast and nervous — flattens and bolts sideways when disturbed. Harmless but delicate; best observed, not handled.

Not found in the wild in Thailand. Native range: Vietnam.
